After a surreal experience of walking through water-carved tunnels of blue ice under a glacier in Iceland in 2019, I captured the picture that would inspire this painting in 2022. Days after finishing this piece, my over-enthusiastic 70-pound puppy who joyfully sat on a stack of Iceland-inspired paintings, damaging several with punctures from her claws. This painting is now a part of my permanent collection, and a reminder of the impermanence of all things.
